Joanna Jefferson, DDS
Hello! I'm Dr. Joanna Jefferson, an Orange County native and proud product of Anaheim, where I attended Canyon High School. I pursued my passion for healthcare at USC, earning a degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies. I continued my education at USC and obtained my DDS degree. Fun fact: I was voted "Most School Spirit" in the dental school yearbook – Fight On!
I now call Irvine home alongside my husband, Tim, and our hilarious cats, Lady and Fabio. Living here has deepened my connection to our city and community.
The creation of Tooth Love stemmed from my desire to establish a place where patients can feel completely comfortable. I've strived to ensure we use high-quality materials and integrate modern technology to enhance the patient experience. Additionally, environmental responsibility has been a key aspect of our practice to minimize plastic waste.
To ensure our practice never stops improving, I actively participate in continuing education seminars and hold memberships in respected organizations such as the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.
Being one of the few African American dentists in OC, inclusivity is vital to me. Everyone is not only welcome but valued and listened to here. I've joined the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce and the Young Black Professionals of Orange County to actively participate and stay connected within our community.
As the proud daughter of the Rotary Club District Governor, a commitment to service has been ingrained in me. Volunteering as a dentist at The Illumination Foundation is one of the ways I give back. I am happy that I am able to help alleviate dental pain and support individuals in their journey back to the workforce.
I am excited to meet you and for you to experience Tooth Love – where care, technology, and community intersect for an exceptional dental experience.
