Joanna Jefferson, DDS

Hello!

I’m Dr. Joanna Jefferson, an Orange County native and proud product of Anaheim, where I attended Canyon High School. I pursued my passion for healthcare at USC, earning a degree in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Studies before continuing my education and earning my DDS. Fun fact: I was voted “Most School Spirit” in my dental school yearbook—Fight On!

I now call Irvine home alongside my husband, Tim, and our hilarious cats, Lady and Fabio. Living here has deepened my connection to our city and community.

Tooth Love grew from my desire to create a place where patients feel completely comfortable. We use high-quality materials and modern technology to enhance the patient experience while remaining environmentally responsible and working to minimize plastic waste.

To ensure our practice never stops improving, I regularly participate in continuing education and maintain memberships in the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and Orange County Dental Society.

As one of the few African American dentists in Orange County, inclusivity is especially important to me. Everyone is not only welcome at Tooth Love, but also valued and heard. I stay actively involved in our community through the Orange County Black Chamber of Commerce and Young Black Professionals of Orange County.

As the proud daughter of a Rotary Club District Governor, a commitment to service has always been part of my life. Volunteering as a dentist with The Illumination Foundation is one of the ways I give back by helping alleviate dental pain and supporting individuals on their journey back to the workforce.
